It has been a hugely busy week in the Forest Oak headquarters. The Gloucester Image goes to print next week, so we are working hard to meet our deadlines. This edition will include no fewer than 30 pages of editorial and at least 30 of advertising. If that’s not enough, we have over 3 pages of vouchers that will prove useful in the months between now and Christmas. The magazine will be delivered in the first week of September, and after three months of committed selling, writing and designing, we can’t wait to see the finished product!

Mark Humpage

Mark is a modern day adventurer, elemental photographer, seasoned stormchaser and writer, from Leicestershire in the UK. His article in the Summer edition of ads@ showcases some brilliant images of extreme weather.

As an ambassador for Olympus Cameras Mark has kept the shutter clicking through hurricanes, dust storms and even underwater. He's certainly an adventurer!

Indeed, Mark's story was so good that instead of cutting it to fit in one issue we decided to 'serialise' it over two. You can read part 1 of his article here.

Tina Bailey

Tina has written for the national press, edited and published her own magazine and continues to write for a living — as full time as she can while caring for her 3 year old and recent arrival baby Beth.

We had heard that local pub The Gloucester Old Spot was a family-friendly place, so ever the opportunists, we sent Tina and her family there for lunch. Catering for a toddler and a new baby would be a stern test, we thought. You can find out how they all fared here.
